Community Focused Psychiatry

Dr. Reid is active in her community, spending personal time educating the public on mental health matters, and working tirelessly to eliminate the stigma of receiving services. A skilled and knowledgeable trainer and presenter, Dr. Reid is often sought to work with law enforcement agencies including local FBI, sheriff and police departments. She also provides information and training on suicide prevention and anti-stigma efforts to schools and faith and community-based organizations. A frequent guest on local TV and radio, she was awarded the “Psychiatrist of the Year” in 2019 by NAMI Michigan for demonstrating strong care for her patients, and for an impressive track record of going above and beyond to help her patients and colleagues, and for earning the respect of her peers and coworkers.
