Community Priorities

Improve Patient Access to Seamless, Available, Affordable Quality Care

by advocating for the expansion of the Excellence in Mental Health and Addiction Treatment Expansion Act resulting in fully funded Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics nationwide. These clinics provide a full range of mental health services and addiction treatment for children, adolescents, adults and older adults with mild, moderate and severe disorders. Also, the expansion of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), including those with severe mental illness, telepsychiatry and services to underserved populations including veterans, the LGBTQ community and Native Americans.

Expand Outreach

by working with local and national organizations to provide education about mental disorders to the general public, especially in underserved groups and faith-based organizations. Assume a more targeted and deliberate approach to reach underserved communities and reduce the stigma of seeking services.
